Swap Meet Info

Bookings for the 2021 Swap Meet will begin in Mid-Late March.

IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE SWAP MEET, OR MISSED THE 2019 SHOW,
please email the Coordinator David Binns on ctswapmeet@gmail.com to request a site. Dave will get back to you - please be patient as he works out of town during the week without internet access.

GATE OPENING TIMES
Friday (set up day) open 12 midday until gates close 6pm
Saturday open 6am
Sunday open 6am

SITE FEES (also require to pay Gate Admission Fees)
$25 per site for weekend

GATE ADMISSION FEES
Adults / Kids over 16 years $20.00 for a weekend pass
Children under 15 years Free of Charge
Aged Pension / Companion Card $5.00 per day (Saturday and Sunday)

The 2021 Charters Towers Motor Show & Swap Meet will be a COVID Safe Event. The Charters Towers Restorers Club Inc will require every individual attending to abide by all government restrictions in place at the time of the event. Some restrictions include, all swap sites displaying COVID-19 information posters, supplying alcohol-based hand sanitiser, and observing social distancing. It will be the responsibility of the registered swap site holder to adhere to these and any additional requirements and to ensure that any customers at their stall are adhering to social distancing requirements also. Numbers will be limited to to COVID restrictions. Confirmation will be required on the day of arrival that you or anyone travelling with you are not displaying any flu-like symptoms. Contact details will be required for contact tracing purposes prior to entry at the Showgrounds. Further restrictions and requirements may follow dependent on government instructions closer to the event date. We appreciate your patience regarding these restrictions and aim to keep you as informed as possible should conditions change.

The Charters Towers Motor Show and Swap Meet has approximately 125 outdoor swap sites.

These sites are open to the elements with bare ground flooring.

Access to power is a bonus but is NOT assured.

Please note : Friends and their vehicles are not given access to "drop things off" without previously having paid their admission price at the gate. All entrants must show their armband (secured to their arm) when coming into the Showgrounds each time.

There will be no early entry stall holders prior to gates opening time.

Camping is available for swap site stall holders only once weekend entry fees and site fees are paid.

All Swappers must pay their ENTRY FEE at the gate

RULES OF THE GROUNDS

- Wristbands/Lanyards must be worn at all times.
- No BYO alcohol
- No Glass
- No Unrestrained Dogs in Swap Meet area (please clean up after your dog)
- No Dogs in Motor Show arena, food areas or bar area
- No pushbikes, skateboards or recreational vehicles to be driven in the grounds
- No excessive noise
- One vehicle per site and vehicle must be parked within the boundaries of the paid site.
- All tarps, displays, merchandise, containers and packaging must stay within the site boundaries.
- Generators to not be used between 10pm and 6am
- Electrical leads cannot be run across walkways or roadways
- Rebooking of sites must be completed by the original site holder only.
- Sites must be left clean and tidy upon leaving, otherwise further bookings will be cancelled.

Swap Meet Officials or Charters Towers Restorers Club Executive members reserve the right to reject and/or eject any person or firm as they deem as undesirable for any reason. Officials decisions are final
