Super Cruise
On both Saturday morning, and Sunday afternoon right before Presentations, we have our eagerly anticipated Super Cruise. Leaving from the Showgrounds, participants will follow a pre-determined and escorted tour of Charters Towers. Wave at the spectators along Gill Street (the main street of Charters Towers) who line up to look at the vehicles driving past.

Bill Henderson Observation Rally
Saturday is the running of the Bill Henderson Observation Rally. Local Historian Mr Bill Henderson compiles this Rally for Entrant drivers and one (1) passenger to answer a series of questions regarding local history and landmarks. But remember, he who goes fastest may not win!

Go To Whoa
Easily our most popular event of the weekend, the Go To Whoa Qualifying is held Saturday afternoon, with finals held Sunday morning, and is open for road registered, pre-nominated Entrant vehicles (sorry, no Motorbikes) with one driver only (sorry, no passengers).

The Club has installed a concrete pad for take off and Grandstand seating is available for spectators, however these seats are very popular so save your spot when the announcement is made.

The aim of this driving event is to get from the starting line (GO) to the finish line (WHOA) as quickly and safely as you can, stopping the front tyres exactly on the finishing line. Entrants have a maximum of three (3) attempts, with their best time being their Qualifying Time. In the event of a tie, the second-fastest time of each participant determines field ranking. Tyres that stop before or after the line are considered a DNQ for that run.

SILLY ANTICS OR UNNECESSARY SPINNING OF TYRES WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AND WILL RESULT IN ENTRANTS BEING BLACK-FLAGGED AND DISQUALIFIED.

The ten (10) best times on Saturday will be published on the Office wall late on Saturday afternoon, and will race off for the Trophy and Prize Money (and bragging rights) on Sunday, so please ensure that your vehicle is ready for judging for early Sunday Morning.
