motor show & swap meet
12th & 13TH june 2027
(friday 11TH june SET UP AND MEET & GREET)
The event is in its 48th year which is an impressive achievement for a small club within a rural community. The event is for enjoyment and to allow car owners, restorers and swappers alike to show off, display and sell their vehicles and items.
The Swap Meet will be in full swing from Saturday when gates open at 7am and as always will have many and varied stalls.
All Motor Show Entrant vehicles are judged with presentations being held on the Sunday afternoon (last day of the event). As well as the static car display there are a number of mobile events throughout the weekend which includes two Super Cruises, Observation Rally, Go to Whoa and Top 10 Go to Whoa Shootout. Major awards are the Top Ten Plates and the Supreme Entrant, there is also the Car of the Show which is for the top quality judged car that does not have to compete in the driving events.

In 2027 the Charters Towers Motor Show and Swap Meet will be held on 4th to 6th June.

The Sallatina Hall will be full of quality cars again this year. With good prize money up for grabs it is envisioned that there will be plenty of entrants with high quality cars to be on show all vying for the top awards.
We are happy to report that ex Summernats professional Judge Matt Gilkes will be in attendance in his role as Guest Adjudicator of the Event and he is keen to find that 'something special'.
The Swap Meet is known as one of the biggest in North Queensland and the Swap Meet area will be a hive of activity (as usual) with plenty of bargains to be found.
Around the Showgrounds there will be plenty of food vendors and FREE entertainment for the kids.
It is always a fantastic, family-friendly weekend so make sure you put this event in your diary.
